NOTICE OF
SALE
TAX DEEDED PROPERTIES
Town of Windham, New
Hampshire
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that, in accordance with the
provisions of RSA 80:80 (II), the Town of Windham, by its Selectmen duly
authorized, is accepting bids on the following parcel of land acquired
by the Town by Tax Deed. The parcel is:

19 Seavey Pond Road
Persons interested in purchasing this
parcel shall submit a bid amount, in writing, delivered to the office of
the Town Administrator, 4 North Lowell Road, Windham, New Hampshire or
mailed to P.O. Box 120, Windham, NH 03087-0120. Bids must be
accompanied by a check in the amount of $100 payable to the Town
of Windham, representing a bid deposit to be credited at closing if the
bid is accepted. Checks will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. The
bid and deposit check must be placed in a sealed envelope
with the property address of the bid noted on the outside.
A minimum bid of $10,000 is required,
however, the Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids which
it deems in its sole discretion not to be in the best interest of the
Town. The bid should represent the amount the bidder is willing to pay
for the conveyance of the property in accordance with the terms of sale.
In addition, the following two conditions have been placed on the sale
of this property by the Town:

The parcel cannot be subdivided
and cannot be built on for any purpose other than for an
approved septic system, and
-
The present building on the lot
must be removed by the purchaser at their costs.
Bids must be received
at the office of the Town Administrator by 2:00 P.M. May 12, 2008. The
bid envelopes will be opened on May 12, 2008 at the Board of Selectmen’s
meeting at 7:30 pm, 3 North Lowell Road, Windham, NH. The property will
be sold to the highest qualified bidder, acceptable to the Selectmen,
subject to collection of the deposit, satisfactory closing, etc.
Closings shall be on or before thirty (30) days from bid opening.
The deed of the Town shall be a Release
Deed, releasing all right, title and interest of the Town. Conveyance
will be subject to all easements and rights of way as existed at the
time of the tax deeding. Failure to close may result in forfeiture of
the deposit, and sale to the next highest bidder.
The Board of Selectmen reserves the
right to reject any and all bids, and/or impose other conditions on the
sale on or before the bid opening.

DESIGN/ENGINEERING SERVICES – DEPOT AREA
IMPROVEMENTS
The Town of Windham, acting through its Depot
Advisory Committee requests qualifications from architectural and
engineering firms to provide services to the Town which are associated
with the planned improvements to its Depot Area including but not
limited to repairs and rehabilitation of a freight shed, train depot
building, and associated site improvements in accordance with the Town’s
conceptual design plan for the project. This project includes elements
of survey, design, engineering and construction oversight. Much of the
conceptual design work has previously been completed. This is a project
funded by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) under
the Transportation Enhancement (TE) program.
Specifications may be obtained at the Administrative
Offices, 4 North Lowell Road, Windham, NH. Proposals are due by May 30,
2008 at 2:00 PM.
The Town reserves the right to reject any and all
proposals, to award proposals in whole or in part, waive technicalities
or informalities, and to accept any proposal deemed to be in the best
interest of the Town.

FIRE DEPARTMENT BOAT
MOTOR REPLACEMENT
The Town of Windham is currently inviting
bids from qualified individuals or companies, acting singularly or in
consortium, to meet the boat motor replacement needs for the Windham
Fire Department.
Full specifications may be obtained on the
Town’s website or in hard copy at the Windham Fire Department, 3 Fellows
Road, Windham, NH. Bids are due by Friday May 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM, and
will be awarded by the Board of Selectmen at a regularly scheduled
meeting.

informalities, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest
of the Town.
